Phonics Play Pack

The Phonics Play Pack takes the repetition children need to master phonics and makes it fun. Instead of practising the same way every day, you can use the same flash cards across a huge variety of games and activities.

With minimal preparation and endless opportunities to mix things up, it's an easy way to fit meaningful phonics practice into everyday life — without it feeling like more schoolwork.

Start with the sounds your child is currently learning rather than trying to use all of the flash cards at once. Choose a small selection of cards, practise the sounds together, then pick one of the 30 games to turn that practice into play.

Keep sessions short, fun and achievable — around 10 minutes is plenty. As your child becomes confident with a sound, introduce new cards while continuing to revisit previously learned sounds to keep them fresh.

Use the games again and again with different combinations of flash cards. The same game can feel completely different simply by changing the sounds you're practising.

Most importantly, let your child choose the game sometimes too! Giving them a little control helps keep them engaged and makes phonics practice something they can look forward to.
